Education in Aeronautical Engineering | Aeronautical Engineering Education in India

Education in Aeronautical Engineering:

Education-in-Aeronautical-EngineeringEducation in Aeronautical Engineering is one of the most challenging fields of engineering with a wide scope for growth. Thus filed deals with the development of new technology in the field of aviation, space exploration and defense systems.  It specialize in the designing, construction, development testing operation and maintenance of both commercial and military aircrafts.

How to be an Aeronautical Engineer?

To be an aeronautical engineer, you must have a degree in aeronautical engineering (B.E. or B.Tech). It's a four-year full-time course. Three-year diploma courses are also available. One can also further study to obtain a Master's Degree in Aeronautical Engineering.

Qualification

The minimum qualification to enter a college is 10 + 2 passes with subjects such as math, physics, and chemistry with at least 50% grades in each subject. A postgraduate candidate should also earn 50% aggregates in 10th class. The same is true for B.Sc. students.

Academic program

It is a four-year course with eight semesters. There are different topics that are included in the program, such as the fundamentals of propulsion, aerodynamics theory, materials science, automatic guidance, structural analysis, fluid dynamics, electronics, etc.

You may also have specializations in areas such as structural design, guidance and navigation systems, instrumentation, communication or production methods of products such as airliners, military aircraft, satellites, helicopters, rockets etc.

After the training, candidates must assemble and fly an airplane for the final presentation.

colleges

There are many colleges in India where you can pursue studies in aeronautical engineering. A mandatory joint entrance examination is conducted by the board. Depending on the score and end of year marks, the candidates will be admitted to the college.

Scope and career

After graduating with a degree in aeronautical engineering, you can work almost anywhere in the world. Engineers have an excellent option in the fields of aviation, aeronautics, aerospace, and defense. Their work covers different areas such as design, maintenance, and development, in addition to teaching positions in the best universities. They can work in air turbine production plants, manufacturing units, airlines and many other areas. There are also many jobs opening up abroad. In fact, most of NASA's engineers are Indian engineers.
In the computer field, you can also draw plans using CAD software. Another important area is the air accident investigation, which attempts to eliminate aircraft accidents.

Remuneration

The work is rather attractive and offers a good position. In addition, the salary is lucrative, which is why many young people are attracted to a career in this field.
The average starting salary is much higher than in other areas of engineering. Salaries are also better in the government sector. The basic entry salary of the aeronautical engineer at HAL and NAL after 7 pay commission scales is Rs. 56,000 With the allowances, the average salary can be around 80,000. Those in the field of research as DRDO and ISRO can earn around Rs. 100,000 and above.

Features of the Training Set Up:
