UK Department for International Development (DFID) is delighted to invite applications for Commonwealth Scholarship in the United Kingdom 2018 from graduates to study Masters degree programme in one of part funding UK university.The Commonwealth Scholarship and Fellowship Plan (CSFP) is one of the largest and most prestigious international scholarship schemes in the world.

Aim of Master's Commonwealth Scholarship:-

Financial Aid to Commonwealth countries students:

To enable talented and motivated candidates who do not afford to study in the UK from low and middle-income commonwealth countries.

Development of Commonwealth Countries:

The students who study post graduation in UK universities will get a high-quality education and hence gain good knowledge and leadership qualities which will enable them to help in the development of their home countries.

Scholarships are available for pursuing Master’s Degree courses offered at participating UK universities.

Study Subject: These scholarships are offered under six themes.

Strengthening global peace, security, and governance
Strengthening resilience and response to crises
Access, inclusion, and opportunity

Number of Scholarships:

Around 800+ scholarships each year.

Scholarship value/inclusions/duration:

Each Scholarship provides approved tuition and examination fees, approved airfare from your home country to the UK and return at the end of your award, stipend, warm clothing allowance, study travel grant, and excess baggage allowance.

The scholarships are usually tenable for one year only.

Eligibility:-
To apply for Commonwealth Scholarships in the United Kingdom 2018, an applicant must:

Be a citizen of or have been granted refugee status by an eligible Commonwealth country, or be a British
Protected Person
Be permanently resident in an eligible Commonwealth country
Be available to start your academic studies in the UK by the start of the UK academic year in September/
October 2018
By October 2018, hold a first degree of at least upper second class (2:1) honors standard or a second class degree and a relevant postgraduate qualification (usually a Master’s degree)
Be unable to afford to study in the UK without this scholarship.

Age Limit:
The CSC does not impose any age limit on applicants, but
nominating bodies may do so in line with their own priorities.

How to Apply for a Commonwealth scholarship 2018:
An applicant should apply to study at a UK university which has a part funding agreement with the Commonwealth scholarships commission.The UK universities will provide partial funding at the discretion of the individual university. For a list of universities that have agreed to part fund

An applicant must apply to one of the following nominating bodies in the first instance – the CSC does not accept direct applications for these scholarships:

You must make your application using the CSC’s Electronic Application System (EAS). Each university has its own closing date for applications.
